​MISSION AND HISTORY

STEAM Education

As an educator and a parent, I have always been passionate about education and the belief in lifelong learning. I have spent most of my career assisting, encouraging and supporting our youth helping them to strive for their dreams and to achieve all that they are capable of.

I have worked with youths from many different areas, from youths with disabilities and at-risk youths to youths that just want to explore and expand their interests.

Supporting and inspiring our youths is what I strive to do and so for many years now I have been part of a committee that supports and provides activities and learning opportunities for the youths of Port Stephens.

I am an art lover and dabble when I get the chance, so I could not leave out my beloved art when the concept of creating STEM workshops took shape and so STEAM Education was born.

STEAM Education’s goal is to provide fun, interactive, hands on workshops that provide the youth of Port Stephens with access to the important skills and knowledge of STEAM subjects while learning a variety of programming languages and exploring the world of robotics.
